This and that...

It's been awhile since I have posted anything so I guess it's time to share somethings?

Brayden

This is my cute, favorite, littlest person, Brayden.  I love this picture.  He is looking at Grandpa.  I'm not sure what Grandpa is doing to keep Brayden's attention but it is a cute photograph.
Brayden thinks he needs to "help" Grandma with the dishes.  If I start the water running in the sink he just runs right on over to "help".

Duchesne & Strawberry Cemeteries

On May 24th I had the opportunity to go to the Duchesne and Strawberry cemeteries with one of my Grandma Friends, Beverly.   She asked me if I would accompany her on her trek so I readily agreed.  It is very seldom that I would decline the opportunity to go to a cemetery.  Most the time my family is doing everything they can to get me from stopping at every cemetery I see.  Cemeteries are beautiful and have a peaceful, reverent feeling.

This is a picture of the Strawberry cemetery.  I never knew this place existed.  I was so excited to learn about it.  it was a wonderful day and we had a fun trip.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we made our yearly trek to the Orem City Cemetery to visit the resting places of my Mother and Father.  It is a beautiful location at the foot of Mt. Timpanogas.  It is fun to get together as a family and pay respect to my parents.  Each year the number of flags representing the veterans who served in the wars continues to increase.

When we finished at the cemetery we went to the park in Provo Canyon for a picnic.  It was a beautiful day for being at the park.  We had yummy sandwiches, chips, salad, watermelon, fruits and sugar cookies.

More DNA Stuff

I'm having some interesting experiences with my DNA test results.

Every week Ancestry.com sends me an e-mail with a list of databases of people that I'm related too.  I've found the daughters of one of my cousins.  This cousin lived across country from me when I was growing up so I only meet him probably once or twice.  I have never meet his daughter but it proves to me that the DNA stuff really does work.

I'm helping another new friend that was adopted when she was a baby and her mother was adopted so she doesn't know who her family is.  The DNA says we are related so we are trying to figure out where and who we are related too.  I'm being tempted to try it again with a different company.
