As I sit here and ponder on the past week I’m not sure what
I want to share. There has been so many blessings
during this past week. I think I’ll
just give brief little tidbits of each blessing so none of them will be
forgotten.
- Southern Utah prayed and fasted on July 1st for rain.
- It rained on the 4th and 5th and helped firefighters get a hold on the Seeley Fire.
- My sister, Terry, was evacuated from her home in Alpine on Tuesday because there was a huge fire right behind her house.
- The miracle for her came on Thursday when it began to rain and the rain came hard. By afternoon the rains did its job and they were allowed to return home in the afternoon.
- We went to Ogden on Monday to hang out with Robert, Cliff and Rebecca. We ate out and then went back to the motel. A couple hours later I thought I was going to die, I was in so much pain that I had Van give me a priesthood blessing.
- No one else got sick from eating out.
- Tuesday morning I hadn’t died so our prayers had been answered.
- Went to Idaho Falls to visit with daughter, Cristal, her husband, Mike and our four darling grandchildren. It is so much fun to see them growing up. They are truly blessings in the lives of their parents and to us.
- Van spent three days trying to figure out how come the power didn’t work correctly in the downstairs bathroom.
- Went to the fireworks with Cristal and the kids in Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls has the most amazing fireworks display west of the Mississippi. I’m so thankful for the freedoms we enjoy in the USA.
- Van gave up on the downstairs bathroom and went to the upstairs bathroom. This led him to an outlet in the garage that wasn’t wired correctly. He fixed that one, which fixed both bathrooms problems. I believe he was inspired to go to fix the upstairs bathroom. I’m sure Cristal was praying for him to find the problem and that her prayers had been answered.
- We returned home to find Grandma and Grandpa at their home in Spring Glen. We are so thankful that they arrived safely.
- Rains continued in Huntington Canyon to help with the Seeley Fire. It rained so much that there was mud slides onto the road.
- Today, we finally got to return to our old church for church. Our church building has been being remodeled and updated so we have been attending church in a different building. It was awesome to be back home again.
- Did my first sharing time today as the First Counselor in Primary. I’m really happy for the opportunity I have to work with the other sisters. I think this is going to be a fun calling.
The speaker, in church today,
spoke about recording the miracles that happen in our lives. This is our way of thanking our Heavenly
Father for the blessings that he gives to us.
Today I’m so thankful for the blessings that we have received during
this past week. I’m so thankful for the
rain, my health, my sister’s home is safe, my country, that prayers are
answered and the church. It’s a good
life.
